Cost of Living
We care about the cost of living crisis and are committed to being good news to our community in word and action. Therefore, we are committed to and suggesting the following - all of which will be updated and reviewed:
We will continue our free community lunches on 1st Sunday of every month
We suggest that if you can invite others, who don't have transport or find it difficult, to come shopping with you when you visit a larger cheaper supermarket so they can get cheaper goods. We will develop this further in due course.
We encourage you to share a meal with someone who is on their own, maybe try to do this once a week.
Remember that you can make suggestions of people who are in financial need so we use one of the funds available both from MEBC's pastoral and Stephen fund or one from the wider community. Be prepared to give the details of why you think the person should be helped. If you can, donate towards the MEBC funds. Speak to James Findlow, Iris Bangs, Manon Vuilleumier or Geoff Hawkings about anyone you wish to sponsor. You can contact them at mebchurch@millendbaptist.org.uk or through our groups or activities like those at the top of this page.
