I'm New to Mill End Baptist
We aim to be a place where people of all ages and all backgrounds can encounter God. We enjoy a contemporary music style as part of our Worship and talks that are rooted in the Bible and relevant to everyday life. We have special groups for children and youth, where newcomers are also very welcome. Come and join us for one of our services, and stay for tea and coffee afterwards. Maybe you would like to join us at one of our other events?
When is the Sunday service?
Our Sunday morning service is in our Worship Hall starting at 10:15am for about an hour and a half. There are welcomers at the front door to say hello when you arrive, and show you the way. On the first Sunday of the month, our Cafe Church, we start at 10.45am
Can children come with me?
Yes! Children are most welcome. Our Cafe Church on the first Sunday of the month and in school holidays is especially for all ages. All other Sundays we all gather together in the Worship Hall for a little time together before the children go to King's Kids. They have games, fun and teaching and it is a great environment for your children to play and learn with other children their own age.
What does a typical service look like?
Start at 10:15am with a welcome
Singing together with a band
Children aged 0-11 (King's Kids), and Youth go out to their groups (stewards are there to show the way)
Singing together, readings from the bible
A talk (about 30 minutes)
Singing together and prayers. An opportunity to come forward for prayer
Ending around 11:45am
What should I wear?
We do not have a dress code for our church, just come as you are.
What if I don't know anyone?
We like to welcome everyone from regular comers to new people! The first people you'll see are our Welcome team, but we hope that everyone makes you feel right at home. We also have members of the Prayer Ministry team who are available for anyone wanting prayer or support, highlighted during the service. There is coffee and tea after the service which is a good time to have a chat.Â
Can I come if I am not a Christian?
Absolutely! We are a church for everyone, regardless of where you are with God. You are very welcome to come and explore what it means to be on a journey of faith and to find out more about God.
Is the building accessible?
The building is step free, with wide doorways and a disabled toilet. The musicians and speakers all use microphones, and we have large print bibles available if required. Please speak to a welcomer if you need any assistance.
Is there parking?
Yes. We have a small car park next to the church, and a bigger area on our field behind the church where you can park. Just drive through the small car park to the end and there it is!
